Of course I'm not stressed

This is going to be hell week for me.
I still have seven more lectures to watch by Friday, and I need to study for the test after I finish them.
I need to read Jane Eyre by Thursday, and I'm only slightly past the preface.
I should've finished a book of poetry by today, but I definitely need to do that by Wednesday.
I have a paper on Castle Rackrent due Thursday.
I need to respond to all emailed discussion questions for practical criticism.
I need to finish reading The Enchanted Castle by Thursday for Children's Lit.
I need to talk to my Children's Lit professor about a credit option.
And, as always, I need to craft something brilliant to say in my poetry class so that I don't get called on and sit there for half an hour, saying, "uuuuuuuuummmmmm."
I have two more stories to read and critique for fiction.

I'm also going to a concert Thursday night, which is just another thing taking up time, as far as I'm concerned. Oh, and I need to go to the bank. And pay my rent. And pay the phone bill. Gaaaahh...somebody shoot me.

Parents Weekend

My biology class has optional attendance. If you don't want to get up for a ten o'clock class, three times a week, you can watch the lectures online. Considering that my body asks me for eleven hours of sleep a night (although it usually gets about six), you can imagine what option I've chosen. That's right. I sleep in, and "watch" the lectures online.

Except that I haven't been watching them. There's a test next Friday (the day after Halloween--how cruel is that?), and I have thirteen lectures to watch. Well, not thirteen anymore.

I told myself that if I would watch five lectures this afternoon, I'd reward myself with some quality Sims time. So, naturally, I watched two lectures, played the Sims, played Yahoo hearts, fooled around with the boyfriend, played some more Yahoo hearts, and here I am. Eleven lectures to go. Eleven hours on my ass taking notes. Ugh. Life can be so shitty.

Not only that, but my parents are coming into town tomorrow, because it's parents' weekend, my college's cheesiest annual event. So I'll have to get up early tomorrow, and I'll be spending the entire day with them, which not only means that I won't get anything accomplished, but I also have to clean. I usually clean this place pretty severely before the parentals drop in, and my mom still cringes if she sees a dust bunny. Over the summer, she even brought her cleaning supplies, because, well, I don't know why really. But she said she could die happy if she could dust and mop my floors.

So, anyway, I don't know. Maybe I'll still watch a lecture tonight, or maybe I'll have my parents watch some with me tomorrow. That is the essence of parents' weekend, after all. Hell, maybe they'd even take notes.
